Our Vision

We at MD InfoTech recognize and understand the challenges faced by organizations as they work to expand or evolve their information systems. Through innovation and use of open standards-based applications, tools, technology and approaches we believe we can help. We focus on implementation and maintenance of multi-vendor health information systems, integration of these systems, and interoperability for the elusive Electronic Health Record.

Our vision is based upon the premise that an "open" approach is simply better than "closed" (aka proprietary) in many situations. We believe that "open source" approaches can result in higher quality systems, higher levels of collaboration, and lower costs for the health industry. To backup this claim, we will continually review, evaluate, promote, use and demonstrate open source applications, tools and technology.

Background

MD InfoTech Ltd contributes years of industry experience and many successes in health care information technology. We have designed, developed, and implemented information systems, tools, and technologies for health care environments across Canada. We have created and deployed systems for lab, pharmacy, ADT, chart tracking, transcription, and radiology with integration to various vendors and PACS brokers.
